Turkish outlet Sabah have reported that Galatasaray vice president Abdurrahim Albayrak met with West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez’s representatives on Tuesday night.
The Hammers striker has struggled in east London since his move to the club from Bayer Leverkusen. He has managed just 16 goals in 61 league and cup appearances for West Ham.
Indeed, the former Manchester United striker has been constantly linked with a move away from the Hammers. In January, West Ham rejected a £7million bid from Valencia for the 31-year-old’s services.
With just 12 months remaining on his £140,000-a-week contract (Spotrac), Hernandez’s future is likely to come into question again – especially if the Hammers finally complete a move to sign Celta Vigo ace Maxi Gomez.

The report claims that Albayrak met with Hernandez’s agents and looked to convince them that Galatasaray is the club for Hernandez. It is believed that the Turkish side are looking to offload Mbaye Diagne after just six months.
TBR’s view
Hernandez has cropped with the odd important goal but taking into account his enormous contract, he has simply got to be sold. He is nowhere near the standard a £140,000-a-week contract would suggest.
Offloading him for a fee this summer would be good business for the Hammers, with this summer the last opportunity they have to sell him. In January, he can join a foreign club on a pre-contract agreement.
Hernandez must be sold, then.
