Report: Fulham want to sign PSV defender Timo Baumgartl
Fulham are looking at strengthening their defence and are eyeing a move for PSV defender, Timo Baumgartl, according to a report from the Telegraph.
The 24-year-old has caught the attention of Scott Parker and his coaching team thanks to his fine performances in the last 12 months.

Baumgartl only moved to the Dutch side last summer after being impressive for VFB Stuttgart. He made over 100 appearances in Germany before catching the eye and making a £9m move to PSV. (Transfermarkt)

Fulham are desperate to bring in a new defender after their nightmare start to the campaign which has seen them concede ten league goals.
Scott Parker has been playing the likes of Michael Hector and Dennis Odoi but the gaps have been obvious, and the Fulham boss will be desperate to address the problem before Monday.

Baumgartl, who made 20 appearances for the German under-21s, could well fit the bill for the Cottagers boss.

To say Fulham are desperate to land a new defender would be an understatement so the signing of Baumgartl would at least go some way to helping that.
Scott Parker has signed a number of players this summer but the centre of defence is an obvious area of concern.
Baumgartl looks decent enough and has enough experience in the tank to hopefully be able to step straight into the first XI. That will be the hope, anyway, as Fulham look to address their defensive woes.
