Report: Fulham interested in Joe Rodon with Tottenham open to move

Fulham are interested in signing Joe Rodon with Tottenham Hotspur open to selling the defender this summer, according to a report from The Athletic.

Rodon has had a really strange time in North London. It appeared to be a coup for Spurs to bring him to the club for £11 million. However, he has never been able to really establish himself in the side.

In fact, Rodon only managed three appearances in the Premier League last season.

His position is perplexing because he has done well whenever he has had a chance for Tottenham. He has also looked a classed apart when representing Wales.

And The Athletic reports that Antonio Conte is a fan of the 24-year-old. Nevertheless, a move away in some capacity is looking likely.

The Athletic reports that Tottenham are open to selling Rodon. They want to recoup the fee the spent should he leave permanently. But a loan is also a possibility.

And amongst the clubs interested in Rodon is Fulham.

In truth, it is a surprise that Rodon has not already secured a move away from Tottenham. He is a ‘fantastic‘ talent. And he now has a point to prove after struggling for minutes at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

A move to Craven Cottage could be a very good option for Rodon. Marco Silva’s men arguably need greater depth at the heart of their defence.

And a loan may be ideal for all parties. An impressive spell would build Rodon’s valuation right back up. It would also give Tottenham a good chance to see how he fares in the top-flight over a longer period.

He is certainly one player to keep an eye on in the remaining weeks of the transfer window.
