Tottenham face competition if they want to sign Real Madrid right-back, Alvaro Odriozola, with Gianluca Di Marzio claiming Fiorentina have enquired about the Spaniard.
Odriozola has emerged as a potential target for Spurs this week, with reports from Spain suggesting Jose Mourinho’s club were among a number of big hitters monitoring the full-back.

But any move Spurs now make looks set to be met with hefty competition. Di Marzio claims that with Fiorentina having allowed Pol Lirola to leave, they are now in the market for a new right-back.
Ordriozola won five trophies with Bayern Munich last season after spending half the season on loan in Germany. Over in Madrid, he is not featuring under Zinedine Zidane as he would like, and could well be open to a move.

Spurs, meanwhile, could look for a right-back again with question marks hanging over both Serge Aurier, and summer signing Matt Doherty.
TBR View: Not a priority, but Spurs would have to beat a lot it seems
Doherty and Aurier are doing the job for now so it’s unlikely Mourinho will move at this moment. Doherty, in particular, is new to the club so will likely be given time to grow into his role.
But Odriozola is a quality operator. He’s proven at the highest levels and Spurs can look at Sergio Reguilon as an ideal indicator of how a Madrid full-back might do in North London.
Certainly one for Spurs to keep an eye on heading through January and into the summer.
