Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Timothy Castagne will not make a decision on his future until after the current season with Atalanta.

That is according to Le10 Sport, with PSG and Leicester City also keen on the Belgian.

The report claims that the versatile full-back, who is out of contract in 2021, is likely to leave his current club this summer but is not willing to discuss an exit until they have finished their campaign.

Atalanta have seven games left in Serie A this season and are also in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, where they will take on PSG.

Once that is over, it is claimed that Castagne will speak to Jose Mourinho and representatives from the other interested clubs to see which team can convince him to make a move.

Speaking to Derniere Heure (h/t Football Italia) this month, the versatile star admitted that if Tottenham came ‘knocking on your door, you can hardly refuse’.

Belgian source Het Nieuwsblad has suggested Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has ‘a soft spot’ for the player, as he is a versatile player who has plenty of resale value and would be relatively cheap, given his current contract situation. Football Italia has hinted at a maximum asking price of around £23 million for the player.

Given his ability to play at both right and left-back, Castagne would be a perfect signing to solve Tottenham’s current full-back issues.

But it seems they will have to wait until August to get any conversation going regarding a transfer.
