Mikel Arteta is likely to be backed during the January transfer window. An injury to his star talisman is likely to force Arsenal into action, as they look to maintain their lofty ambitions in the Premier League.

Jesus joined the Gunners from Manchester City. It’s fair to say that he’d made a decent start to life with his new club, scoring five goals and laying on a further seven in the way of assists for his teammates.

His time at Manchester City saw him win trophies galore. He won four Premier League titles, four League Cup titles and one FA Cup, before moving to Arsenal during the summer transfer window.

At 25-years-old, Jesus was a stunning signing by Arteta. He has his best years ahead of him and the fact he’s now injured is a real hammer blow for their chances of lifting the Premier League title.
