Celtic will have to pay around £1 million if they hope to win the race to sign Joel Randall, with the Daily Mail reporting that Exeter City are expected to reject a bid from elsewhere for the winger.
Randall is attracting a lot of attention after an outstanding run for the Grecians. He has scored six goals and contributed four assists in League Two this season. In all competitions, he has scored eight and set up eight.

The Daily Mail claims that Exeter have high hopes for Randall. In fact, it is claimed that he is thought to have the potential to reach similar heights to fellow academy graduates Ethan Ampadu and Ollie Watkins.
Celtic face a fight to sign the 21-year-old however. The Mail claims that Charlton Athletic are set to make a £300,000 bid for the youngster. Meanwhile, Swansea City are also in the running.

The report notes that the Addicks’ bid is expected to be rejected. Exeter are looking for more than three times that amount.
TBR View: Celtic need to meet asking price before chance passes them by
Some Celtic fans may be underwhelmed by the links with a League Two youngster. But it is a major statement that Exeter rate him so highly given the players that have come through their system.
The Hoops definitely need to strengthen their wide options. James Forrest has barely featured this season due to injury. Meanwhile, Mohamed Elyounoussi is only at Parkhead on loan.
Signing Randall therefore, seems to be a no-brainer. And Charlton’s bid should act as the catalyst that prompts Celtic to agree a fee and get the youngster in before he heads elsewhere.
