Glasgow Rangers were linked with Kwadwo Baah in the January transfer window, and now Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard could have a great opportunity to snap him up.

The 18-year-old striker, who plies his trade for English third-tier side Rochdale, was said to be on the radar of several big clubs.

According to The Athletic, the likes of Juventus, Bayern Munich and West Ham were eyeing Baah, alongside Rangers.

English Premier League leaders Manchester City were reportedly close to signing the talented striker.

However, according to The Telegraph, the move has collapsed at the medical stage.

City had reportedly agreed terms on Baah moving to the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season.

However, the teenager will now be back on the market when his deal at Spotland expires in three months.

Despite his young age, Baah has already made 36 competitive senior appearances for his club, registering three goals and two assists.

Dale boss Brian Barry-Murphy has regularly sung Baah’s praises, saying “his talent is exceptional and he’s someone we’re very excited about for the future.”

Rangers, fresh from winning title number 55, cannot rest on their laurels when it comes to scouting and signing new talent.

And Baah really looks like a cut above, judging by his performances, his manager’s opinion of him, and speculation linking him with the likes of Juve and Bayern.

Admittedly, the Gers will need to do their due diligence on him, considering his move has reportedly collapsed at the medical stage, but if all goes well, he’d be a superb prospect.
