Report: 'Exceptional' player could be leaving Arsenal in next few days as move edges closer
Matteo Guendouzi’s move away from Arsenal is edging closer to completion, according to a report in Le10 Sport.
Guendouzi has been heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium throughout the summer so far, but Arsenal are not prepared to let him go cheaply.
While that has caused some difficulties for many potential buyers, Marseille are now believed to be confident that they can sign the midfielder, who was described as ‘exceptional’ by Luis Campos (O’Jogo).

It is claimed that the differences between the two sides in terms of valuation could be overcome in the next few days, with Guendouzi closer than ever to leaving Arsenal.
What’s the impact for Arsenal?
That may be a disappointment for some supporters, who have seen Guendouzi’s passion and potential.
However, the French youth international’s exit always looked likely from the moment that he went out on loan with Hertha Berlin.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta seems to have considerable doubts over the youngster, and with the Gunners plotting additions of their own in midfield, his first-team chances look slim.
Guendouzi’s departure is unlikely to impact on the quality of Arsenal’s squad too much – after all he was not at the club last season.
But his sale should help raise funds which, in turn, may give Arsenal more money to spend on their own planned additions this summer.
