Turkish outfit Besiktas are looking to sign Everton forward Ademola Lookman during the transfer window, according to Turkish outlet Fanatik.
The 21-year-old made 21 appearances for the Toffees last season; starting just three times in the Premier League.
It seems pretty conclusive that boss Marco Silva isn’t fond of the former Charlton performer.
The Istanbul-based club are already interested in Toffees playmaker Nikola Vlasic (Fanatik) and could now look to add another Everton player to their ranks.
Fanatik claims that Lookman’s agent has already been contacted by Besiktas and boss Abdullah Avci is keen to work with the youngster.
Everton will undoubtedly look to add several players of their own this summer and Lookman could be an unfortunate member of the squad cast aside to free up space.
Since signing for Everton in 2017 for £11 million (BBC Sport), the forward has played just 48 games for the club.
He had a fairly decent spell with Red Bull Leipzig which suggests he could be more suited to football on the continent.
In 11 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit, he netted five goals and claimed four assists; showing his blistering pace and ability to beat his man.
It hasn’t really worked out for Lookman at Everton.
Moving to pastures new this summer could offer his career a revival.
If the youngster has England ambitions then he must act this summer. The chances of first-team football at Goodison Park are still relatively bleak and a move to Besiktas could serve him well.
