Report: Everton win race to sign 'unreal' 6ft 3in talent ahead of other Premier League sides
Everton have won the race to sign Francis Okoronkwo ahead of other Premier League sides, according to the Daily Mail.
The outlet claims the Toffees have agreed a deal worth up to £1million for the 16-year-old winger.
Everton have reportedly beaten other Premier League sides to Okoronkwo’s signature.
The 6ft 3in talent came through the ranks at Sunderland and caught the eye for their Under-18s last term.
They wanted to retain Okoronkwo and even included him in the group that travelled to Wembley for their EFL Trophy Final victory in March.
However, Everton have persuaded the player to move to Goodison Park and he will join their academy once the transfer is ratified by the Premier League, added the report.
Okoronkwo is highly rated and some Sunderland fans are gutted to hear about him being close to a departure.

What choice do we have, if we didn’t agree a deal with a club would it go down to tribunal due to age?— Adam Smith (@adamtsmith11) July 15, 2021
7 figures for a 16 year old is good going, just one of them things. Sickening for a club this big but we’ve gotta accept that some players are simply too good for the club— Joe🍕🏆 (@joe_112233) July 15, 2021
Up to £1m so probably has to captain them in a champions league final and score a hatrick at anfield or we only get £29— topcat404 (@Stefano_Uvavu) July 15, 2021
