Report: Everton want to send Virginia out on loan

Joao Virginia is set to leave Everton on a season-long loan deal this summer.

What’s the story?

According to O Jogo, it is the belief of the Blues the 21-year-old can benefit from a year of experience. The Merseysiders think Virginia will come back ‘stronger’ from his time away.

Everton have received numerous offers from clubs in the Championship and top tier sides in foreign leagues.

The ‘fantastic’ goalkeeper started his career with Benfica before moving to Arsenal in 2015. He left the Gunners in 2018 for the blue half of Merseyside.

The ace has already had a spell in the first team, making three senior appearances last season.
