Everton are interested in securing the signing of Jhon Cordoba from Cologne, according to German publication Express.
The 27-year-old netted 13 times during 2019/20 and looks to be on the radar of the Toffees this summer.
Cordoba signed for Cologne in 2017, checking in from Mainz for £13.5 million.
Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti will go in search of new players this summer as he looks to improve on a 13th place finish last season.
Firepower looks like a priority for the Toffees and Cordoba complement the team nicely.
Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin both notched 15 times last season but after that Gylfi Sigurdsson and Bernard only managed three goals each.
It’s fair to say Everton need more goals and adding Cordoba could prove ideal in that sense.
The Toffees are thought to face competition to land the Colombian talisman and may need to act quickly to secure their man.
It is also thought that Cologne are keen to hand Cordoba a new deal but the lure of the Premier League may prove too much for the striker.
Ancelotti won’t want to mess around at Goodison Park next season and European qualification will be in his sights.
In order to reach the top six of the Premier League, the Italian boss will need to attract some players.
Cordoba is strong in the air, a lethal finisher and holds play up with aplomb.
Alongside the flair of Richarlison he could thrive and his 13 goals last season suggest he could be a strong signing.
