Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is willing to listen to offers for under-23 gem Nathan Broadhead, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The winger spent the 2019/20 campaign on loan at Burton Albion in League One, scoring three times in 22 appearances.
At present, the youngster is the reigning under-23 Player of the Season at Goodison Park. He claimed the mantle following a season in which Everton’s youngsters completed a league and cup double.
The report claims that several clubs will be vying to take Broadhead given his availability.
A rapid winger who likes to take players on, the 22-year-old has just 12 months remaining on his current Everton deal.
Broadhead does have first-team appearances to his name too. He was utilised during a dead-rubber Europa League game against Apollon Limassol in 2017.
Leaving Everton might prove hard for the youngster, having been involved with the club for more than 11 years.
His potential has seen him called up by Wales head coach Ryan Giggs and it’ll be interesting to see which potential suitors take him on.
TBR View – Are Everton missing a trick letting Broadhead leave?
Ancelotti has called upon his youngster during his short reign at Goodison Park, handing plenty the chance to shine.
One thing Everton aren’t blessed with is lots of raw pace out wide and with that in mind, Broadhead can count himself unlucky.
At 22, the winger would have to be registered in the 25-man squad so perhaps Ancelotti sees his inclusion as a waste of space.
Nonetheless, Everton will no doubt watch on closely wherever Broadhead ends up to see if they did miss a trick or not.
