Everton are reportedly ready to raid Tottenham Hotspur in January for either Dele Alli or Harry Winks.

The Mirror have claimed the Toffees are keen to bolster their squad during the winter window and see the Spurs pair as good opportunities of doing so.

It is stated that Carlo Ancelotti is a fan of both players, who are currently struggling for minutes, and could try to get one of them on loan.

Winks has become less used in recent weeks with the likes of Moussa Sissoko, Giovani Lo Celso and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg more preferred by Jose Mourinho.

And Dele Alli has endured a nightmare 2020/21, continually missing out on matchday squads especially in the Premier League.

The Englishmen are said to be fearful that their current predicaments could prevent them from going to next summer’s European Championships.

TBR’s View – Dele would be brilliant addition by Everton

£50,000-a-week Winks (Spotrac) is a great player, but Dele – who cost Spurs £5 million back in 2015 (BBC Sport) – is probably needed more at Goodison Park right now.

The Toffees have a solid midfield base with the likes of Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure, but arguably there is need for a number 1, with James Rodriguez featuring more from the right-wing.

Potentially, Dele – whom Ancelotti recently branded ‘a fantastic player’ (Liverpool Echo) – could strike up a great partnership with fellow countryman Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and regain his form and confidence on Merseyside.
