Report: Everton targeting move for Angelo Fulgini, potential £3.6m bargain

Everton will reportedly make a move for Angers midfielder Angelo Fulgini this summer, after making two previous attempts on the French talent.

That is according to a report from Ouest-France, who claim that the playmaker has caught the eye with his displays for the French side this season.

Capable of playing in the heart of midfield, wide right, and even at right-back, Fulgini has been one of the stars of an Angers side who finished the cancelled Ligue 1 season in 11th place.

The report claims that Everton have made two initial offers for the player, who is open to a move. With his contract expiring in 2021, Angers would be looking for a bargain fee of just €4-5 million (£3.6m-£4.5m).

Fellow Ligue 1 sides Bordeaux and Saint-Etienne are also keen on the player, so Everton will have a fight on to secure the services of the player.

Everton will also be looking to strengthen in both the heart of midfield and on the wing, considering the weakness in both roles and the latest injury setback for Jean-Philippe Gbamin.

Whilst Fulgini may not be the eye-catching addition that Everton fans want he could prove to be a bargain at Angers’ reported asking price.
