Turkish newspaper Fotomac have claimed that Everton have tabled a player-plus-cash offer to sign Besiktas striker Cyle Larin this summer, in a deal that would see Besiktas permanently re-sign Cenk Tosun – as well as receive a sum.
Tosun, 29, is currently on loan at Besiktas having rejoined the club in January. Everton signed him from Besiktas in January 2018 – but he only played 58 times for Everton in three years, scoring just 11 goals. He has returned until the summer.
He has enduring a tricky time back at Besiktas. A knee injury hampered his start, followed by a positive test. However, in his two appearances he has scored two goals – and when done isolating, he is expected to finally get on the score sheet regularly.
Up front for Besiktas, Canada international Larin is currently doing the business. He has 18 goals and four assists in 35 games and Everton are interested – tabling an offer of Tosun plus cash. But Besiktas want a cash-only offer of £13million.

TBR’s view – Larin is good, but is he Everton quality?
Clearly, he has the ability to score goals in the MLS and Turkey. With Orlando alongside Kaka, Larin scored 44 in 89 games. Last season, he went on loan to Belgian side Zulte Waregem where he produced 20 goal involvements in 33 games.
But he is yet to prove himself in one of Europe’s top five leagues. Besiktas failed to make it past the European qualifying stages so it is difficult to tell if he could cut it at continental competition. But at £13million, he is a risk worth taking.
