Everton striker Cenk Tosun is reportedly pushing for an exit this summer. According to Turkish media outlet Sporx, Tosun has contacted Besiktas officials and let them know that he is willing to take a pay cut to join.

Tosun’s time in England has been underwhelming since his reported £27m move (BBC Sport) from Besiktas in summer 2018.

Sam Allardyce brought the Turkey international to Goodison Park but he has struggled. In 43 Everton games, he has only found the net nine times.

With only four goals this season, including a final-day strike against Tottenham, it is clear that Everton need a new striker. It might make sense for all parties if Tosun leaves permanently this summer.

Tosun appears to be keen on a return to Besiktas. This is where he rose to prominence, scoring 64 times in 142 games for the Turkish giants.

He is willing to take a major pay cut to move back to Besiktas. And president Fikret Orman wants to sign Tosun for the 2019/20 campaign.

However, Everton either face a major loss on Tosun or they might have to let him leave on loan. The 27-year-old still has three years remaining on his contract and would not be available on the cheap.
