Everton have apparently come to an agreement with AS Monaco for the season-long loan of full-back Djibril Sidibe.

According to L’Equipe, the French outfit will let the World Cup winner leave for 2.5 million/£2.3 million, and the Toffees will have the chance to purchase next summer for 14 million/£13 million.

The 26-year-old has been with Monaco since 2016 after transferring from Lille, and has made 114 appearances for the club so far.

Sidibe has been a regular in the side since joining, but his opportunities at the Stade Louis II could be limited if he sticks around in 2019/20 with Fodé Ballo-Touré and Benjamin Henrichs his competition.

Sidibe, who won the World Cup with France last summer, is a versatile defender who can play at both right and left-back.

Everton potentially signing Sidibe would be a great move by Marcel Brands.

The ace is one of the better full-backs in Ligue 1 and has really impressed since joining the club, especially in the 2016/17 title-winning season.

Sidibe could come in and provide excellent cover and competition for Seamus Coleman, who is in need of someone to challenge his position.

And If Sidibe does sign and does impress, then the reported purchase fee £13 million that’s been negotiated would be an absolute steal.
