Leicester City have joined Everton in the hunt for Rennes winger Ismaila Sarr. According to Senegalese news outlet APS, Leicester City, AC Milan and Roma hold a genuine interest in Sarr.
The Senegal international has been mentioned as a target for Everton ahead of the summer. WIW Sport is one of many media outlets claiming that Everton want Sarr.
Marco Silva is looking to add to his attacking options. And Sarr fits the bill as someone able to play on the wing, behind the striker or as a centre-forward.
The 21-year-old has had a thoroughly impressive season with Rennes in Ligue 1. He has scored seven goals in 33 games in the French top-flight.
Moreover, his tally of four goals in nine games in the Europa League shows that he can do it outside of France as well. And he also helped Rennes lift the Coupe de France trophy.
Sarr has been a key part of Rennes’ plans this season but he could be set for a summer exit. It seems that Everton face competition for his services.
Leicester will also be eager to improve their attack with Brendan Rodgers sharing Everton’s ambition to qualify for Europe next season.
The Foxes have a number of exciting attacking options, such as Jamie Vardy, James Maddison and Harvey Barnes, but Sarr could add to their options.
