Everton are reportedly ready and willing to offer around £31million to bring Everton Soares to Goodison Park, according to Pianeta Milan.
The Toffees have been linked with their namesake for a number of months now, with Goal Brazil previously claiming that Carlo Ancelotti’s club would be tabling in a bid of around £30million in the January window.
Gremio president Romilo Bolzan then admitted to SGLR in April that Ancelotti had personally contacted Soares regarding a potential move to Everton.
Soares has been a crucial player for Gremio over the years, registering an impressive 47 goals and 17 assists from 179 competitive appearances, so it’s little surprise that he is being linked with some top European clubs.
AC Milan have also been linked with the 24-year-old and the Italian outlet has reported that Ancelotti is working hard to beat his former employers to the winger’s signature, with a £31million offer seemingly on the cards.
Everton Soares is a player of the highest calibre, blessed with incredible close control, superb acceleration and an eye for goal.
Most comfortable on the left-hand side of attack, where he likes to cut back inside in a step that has been compared to Neymar, “Cebolinha” can also lead the line as a sole striker.
The Pianeta Milan report states that Everton have “never given up” on trying to bring their namesake to Goodison Park, and he would certainly be a superb addition for the Toffees.
