Everton are ready to make a £16m bid for Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph, according to The Sun. Delph could be leaving Man City this summer and Everton are mulling over a move.
Delph will be down the pecking order at Man City next season after the Premier League champions brought in Rodri from Atletico Madrid.
Predominantly a central midfielder, Delph can also play at left-back. But the Citizens have signed Angelino and given a new contract to Oleksandr Zinchenko so Delph is unlikely to get game time at left-back either.
All of these signings point to the exit door for Delph. The England international has played 89 games (and 57 Premier League matches) since his 2015 move to the Etihad.

But despite winning two Premier League titles, Delph’s game time has been limited. Everton are ready to offer him more guarantees over his playing time to win this race.
Delph would also be able to cover for Lucas Digne and Leighton Baines at left-back if needed. But predominantly, he would add another option in midfield.
TBR’s verdict
Delph’s presence in midfield would improve Marco Silva’s options as he looks ahead to a challenge for European qualification. He is an energetic midfielder capable of picking a range of passes and providing steel in the middle.
But the £16m price tag might put the Toffees off. Delph will turn 30 next season and he does not have a sell-on value. Everton must weigh up whether his time at Goodison Park will be worth a £16m outlay.
