David Neres is wanted by clubs across Europe.

Everton have contacted David Neres about a potential big-money move from Ajax, according to reports.

Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola told Yahoo Sports that Everton, Borussia Dortmund and Roma have opened talks over Neres.

Ajax value the Brazilian winger at €50m (around £43.5m) ahead of the summer transfer window.

Neres is enjoying a sensational season for Ajax, who sit top of the Eredivisie and are in the Champions League semi-finals.

The 22-year-old has played a key role in their success, scoring 10 goals and providing 10 more assists in league and Champions League matches.

Everton are looking to bolster their options ahead of next season. The club currently sit 7th in the Premier League and could be playing Europa League football.

It seems that Marco Silva’s methods are finally paying off and Everton’s form has seen them rise up the league table in recent weeks.

With exciting young players like Richarlison, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Ademola Lookman and Henry Onyekuru on their books, Neres’ arrival would add to the attacking threat.

The once-capped Brazil international looks set for an expensive summer move. And Everton will be desperate to win this race.
