Everton have been offered the chance to sign Barcelona midfielder, Philippe Coutinho, according to a report from 90 Min.com.
The former Liverpool man is being touted around Europe at the moment as Barcelona look to find a suitor to take the Brazilian off their hands. The Catalan giants are desperate to move Coutinho on as they pursue their own transfer targets.

And after the likes of Tottenham and Chelsea have shown interest, it has become apparent that Coutinho has already been offered to the Toffees.
The report from 90 Min, which takes quotes from the Transfer Window podcast, claims that Coutinho’s agent Kia Joorabchian has been in touch with Everton owner, Farhad Moshiri, as he seeks a move for his client.
It is believed the pair have a close relationship. However, one issue for Everton could be the wages Coutinho commands.

The midfielder is thought to be on around £200k-a-week. There is, however, hope for the Toffees, with the Daily Mail claiming that Barca may well be willing to pay a portion of his wages in order to shift him on.

It might seem odd for Everton to sign Coutinho given his links with Liverpool, but football is a business after all.
The Brazilian needs to get some football under his belt and back to his brilliant best. His spell in Spain has been poor, while he’s hardly pulled up any trees during a loan with Bayern.
Therefore, a move back to Merseyside might do him the world of good. And while he’d be in the blue, not the red, this time around, he could well be a player who pushes Everton towards those European spots.
