Everton are interested in signing Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga on loan.

The Daily Mail report that the Swede is a target for Frank Lampard, who is looking to add pace and firepower to his frontline.

Everton have still not replaced Richarlison and could soon need to find someone to take the place of Chelsea target Anthony Gordon.

Erik ten Hag is close to bringing in Antony from his former club Ajax, which has raised Everton’s hopes that Elanga will be available on loan.

Everton want Elanga

Elanga was a shock inclusion in the United starting eleven for the huge Monday night clash with Everton’s bitter rivals Liverpool.

He played well and hit the post in the first half, but was substituted at half-time, with Anthony Martial brought on to replace him.

If Antony comes in, that could push the Swede down the pecking order, but would it really be to the extent that he is allowed to leave on loan?

That seems doubtful, considering United do not have huge attacking depth and are about to embark on a Europa League campaign.

It could just be the case that as one player potentially comes in, there are rumours about another player going out, but time will tell.

United need to solve the Cristiano Ronaldo situation as well, and Ten Hag will not want to be left short of options in attack.
