Italian outlet Area Napoli have claimed that Premier League trio Everton, Newcastle and West Ham are all interested in signing Hirving Lozano – and Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is willing to sanction a free loan.
Lozano, 24, has struggled in his first season at Napoli since joining the Serie A side for £34million from PSV Eindhoven. He has managed to score just four goals in 25 league and cup appearances for Napoli.
That is, despite scoring 40 times in 79 PSV games. It is clear that Lozano has enormous quality, able to score goals from both out wide, up front or even in the 10 role. But Napoli has not worked out and a summer move could occur.
The report claims Newcastle, Everton and West Ham are all keen on signing Lozano – and the notorious De Laurentiis is willing to sanction a free loan, with a permanent clause worth between £31.5million and £36million.
TBR’s view – Lozano could be the bargain of the summer
All loans cost money these days. But with clubs likely to be targeting free contracts, loan signings and bargain deals this summer – Lozano is top quality for nothing, at least nothing for 12 months.
It gives Newcastle, Everton and West Ham a free hit if they want to sign Lozano. Bringing him in for a season and then given the chance to complete a permanent deal. A no-brainer for any interested sides.
