The Daily Mail have claimed that Everton and Marco Silva are monitoring a potential move to lure Hull City sensation Jarrod Bowen to Goodison Park in the summer.
The 22-year-old has been in sensational form for Nigel Adkins’ side this season. He has scored 18 goals in just 37 league games, from out wide – as well as providing three assists.
The report claims Everton are keeping an eye on Bowen, in a move that would see the winger reunite with Silva. The Portuguese boss gave Bowen his league debut at Hull – which resulted in a 7-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur.
Championship leaders Norwich City are also said to be keen, with Hull seemingly set to finish the campaign in mid-table mediocrity. They currently sit in 13th place, after Adkins drove his side away from a relegation battle.
Everton may find themselves with even bigger competition, though. The Sun claimed in January that Tottenham were willing to splash out £15million on Bowen – but Hull wanted £20million.
Premier League sides have got to snap up Bowen. At £20million, he is pricey. But he is one of the best products to come from the Championship in recent years.
If Jack Grealish is worth a reported £30million, then so should Bowen. To score 18 goals from out wide, in a team that were flirting with relegation at one point, is quite miraculous.
He has scored more than a third of Hull’s 52 league goals this season. That says it all.
