Everton are reportedly interested in signing attacker Igor Jesus from UAE Gulf League club Shabab Dubai.

According to Jeunes Footeux, Everton are in competition with French side Marseille for the 20-year-old’s signature ahead of the summer, and have even made contact with him.

The report details that the “fast and technical” player could be snapped up for around €10million (£8.5million).

Jesus has had an excellent individual season, scoring 11 goals and setting up 11 assists in 22 league games.

The Brazilian centre-forward is being tipped with a potential move to European football, with clubs being alerted to his form this campaign.

TBR’s View:

Everton’s link to Jesus is something out of left field, as it’s not often you get to hear about the UAE Gulf League.

But the South American is doing enough to attract suitors.

There is already a strong contingent of Brazilian players on both the blue half and red half of Merseyside.

Brazilian attacker Richarlison is a real talisman for Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton, as well as fellow countryman Allan.

Whether the speculation surrounding Everton target Jesus leads to anything remains to be seen, but it seems like he’s been earmarked with the move to Europe to try really make a name for himslef.
