Everton have increased their bid for Joaquin Correa with the Sunday Mirror (22/8; page 67) reporting that his agent has given a move a green light.
Correa is attracting attention after scoring 17 goals across the last two Serie A campaigns for Lazio.

It is reported that Rafa Benitez has made the 27-year-old a top target. And in an attempt to get a deal across the line, Everton have upped their offer for the Argentina international.
According to the Sunday Mirror (22/8; page 67), the Toffees have put a bid on the table worth an initial £32 million with add-ons.
It is claimed that title-winners Inter Milan are also in the running. However, Correa apparently wants to move to the Premier League this summer.

And the Mirror suggests that his agent has given the go-ahead to a deal, with Everton prepared to pay £4 million per year. So it would appear that Benitez’s men have a good opportunity to get a deal across the line.
Versatile Correa would be an exciting signing as Everton make £32m bid
Everton have not struggled for goals in the early stages of this campaign. They put three past Southampton, and bagged two more at Leeds.
Correa is a player who can play anywhere across the forward line. He predominantly played as a second striker for Lazio last season.
But he has previously played on either wing, and up front for the Biancocelesti.
It would appear that Everton are in a brilliant position. They have put a huge offer on the table. The player is keen to move to England. And his agent is ready to agree a contract, it seems.
So it would be a fantastic way to end the window if the Toffees do indeed manage to bring him to Goodison Park.
