Reported Everton target Edin Dzeko is “destined” to leave his current club in the summer, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Carlo Ancelotti’s Toffees were said to be eyeing the Roma striker – who previously shone at Manchester City – during the January transfer window.
However, West Ham were also thought to be in the race for Dzeko, a player whose future at the Stadio Olimpico doesn’t look set to continue beyond the end of the season.

Corriere dello Sport claims Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto mediated a “truce” between the 34-year-old striker and head coach Paulo Fonseca for the sake of the team.
The Bosnia & Herzegovina international is reported to have had a fallout with Fonseca after their Coppa Italia defeat to Spezia in mid-January.
The following day, the two apparently clashed again at Roma’s Trigoria training ground, with Dzeko allegedly stripped of the captain’s armband in front of his teammates.
Although both player and coach will now look to work together in pursuit of glory – Roma are just six points off the top of Serie A – the report claims Dzeko won’t stay put beyond the summer.
TBR View:
Dzeko is a top player who has done well over the years and remains prolific despite being in the twilight of his career, with 114 goals and 52 assists from 242 appearances for Roma.
In addition, the £130,000-a-week marksman is proven at Premier League level, so he wouldn’t necessarily be a bad shout for Everton.
Former Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco deemed him “extraordinary” in October 2018, and his CV certainly shows this – could Fonseca’s loss be Ancelotti’s gain this summer?
