According to a fresh report from the Daily Mail, Everton are keen on signing Jack Grealish from Aston Villa during the summer window.
The midfielder has been one of the standout performers of the Premier League season this term. Despite Villa’s struggles, Grealish has proven himself in the top-flight with a number of fine performances.

That form has seen the likes of Manchester United emerge as contenders to sign the Villa star. Indeed, it has been claimed that the Red Devils could face paying up to £80m for Grealish if they want to land him.
However, this latest report appears to confirm that Everton are also keen. But the Toffees won’t be prioritising Grealish as their main signing. The club will, instead, look to capture the likes of Everton Soares instead.

Everton are unlikely to pay a fee in the region of £80m. However, with the current global climate, the Toffees could find Grealish’s price drops by quite an amount come the summer months.
Grealish is widely expected to leave Villa Park, regardless of if the club stays in the Premier League or not.
Grealish brilliant but Everton already have options – TBR View
The problem for Everton if they signed Jack Grealish would be where to play him. The likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson are fixtures in the team, while Richarlison is one of the main attacking threats and arrives from deep like Grealish.
The other issue is the fee. It’s unlikely they’ll pay around the £80m mark to land the Villa man. Those sorts of fees might be a thing of the past, in all honestly.
Grealish will probably get his move away from Villa Park this summer. But with Everton having other priorities and the sums being talked about, it’s probably safe to say a move to Goodison Park won’t happen at this stage.
