Everton are reportedly keen on Tottenham attacker Jack Clarke, who is currently out on loan with Leeds United in the Championship.
Spurs signed the 18-year-old from Leeds back in the summer for £10million (BBC), but he returned to Elland Road on a season-long loan.
According to the Express, Spurs are “seriously considering” recalling him in January as he’s played just two first-team games this season and will look to loan him out elsewhere.
It is understood that Everton are one of three Premier League clubs eyeing the teenager.
The report details that Crystal Palace and West Ham are also watching his situation closely.
Clarke’s only two senior appearances so far this campaign have come in the Carabao Cup and he’s yet to feature in the Championship, which is why it’s no surprise Spurs are looking at loaning him elsewhere.
Clarke is still a fairly unknown talent that burst onto the scene in the Championship last season and only has 27 senior appearances to his name.
The England Under-20 international scored for the Young Lions during the last break and is a dazzling winger with plenty of pace and trickery.
But he’s currently struggling to force his way into Marcelo Bielsa’s squad in the Championship and it already looks a big step up to the top-flight.
It would be a bizarre loan signing for Everton to make though in January, as it’s hard to see him getting in ahead of the likes of Alex Iwobi, Richarlison, Theo Walcott and Bernard in wide areas at Goodison Park.
