90Min report that Everton are now also looking at Inter Milan defender Stefan de Vrij – along with Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.

The 54-time Netherlands international, who is represented by Mino Raiola (TransferMarkt), has been a stalwart for Inter Milan since joining in 2018.

But the 29-year-old is out of contract in June 2023 and the report states that the player has been offered to Newcastle, Everton and Tottenham.

All three are said to be interested, with Tottenham likely to be winning the race – given he would be working under his former manager Antonio Conte.

That £73,000-a-week (Sempre Inter) contract looks as though it will see him offloaded by Inter. A small-ish fee is expected, but his wages will be high.

Who should Inter ace de Vrij join: Newcastle, Everton or Tottenham?

Newcastle need a centre-back or two. Whether Eddie Howe plays two centre-backs, or three, he needs another body in the middle of defence.

Jamaal Lascelles, Fede Fernandez, Ciaran Clark and Fabian Schar are the current options. But the Toon need more quality at the back.

Everton have better options, centre-back is hardly a priority for the Toffees. But the Merseyside outfit would be foolish to overlook de Vrij.

Tottenham, meanwhile, are desperate for another defender with Conte playing three at the back. Conte and Tottenham is ideal for de Vrij.
