Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton have reportedly joined Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in the race to sign Jeremie Boga, according to Sky Sports.
The Toffees boss was said to be interested in signing the Sassuolo winger during his time at Napoli, and both the Goodison Park side and the San Paolo outfit are reportedly still keen on him.
In addition, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly both held preliminary discussions over a possible deal for the Ivory Coast international.

However, Sassuolo won’t be letting him go for cheap – they are said to want in excess of £35million for a player they bought for £3.5million two years ago.
Earlier this month, French publication Foot Mercato claimed that Arsenal made a “timid approach” for Boga, as well as Manchester United, Barcelona and Sevilla.
The 23-year-old winger has made a name for himself at Sassuolo, registering 11 goals and four assists from 34 Serie A appearances last season.
Boga is a product of the Chelsea academy, but struggled to make the breakthrough at the London club and was sold in 2018 after a string of loan spells.
However, former Blues youth coach Michael Beale – now at Rangers – was certainly impressed by the youngster.
In an interview with The Byline from last year, he said: “The most unique talent, in a window of being 13-14 that we played some games and he just beat the other team, possibly on his own, was a young boy called Jeremie Boga.”
Discussing a youth tournament final in which Boga scored four in a 5-0 win over PSV, Beale added: “This boy is a supreme talent, he could face a defender up, stop and go and, over 3-4 yards and drift past him, at that stage you were like ‘wow, this boy could whatever he wants to be.'”
TBR View:
Yet another former Chelsea player who has prospered since leaving Stamford Bridge, Boga is a cut above at Sassuolo and certainly destined for a top club.
With both Arteta and Ancelotti overseeing major rebuilding jobs at Arsenal and Everton respectively, the 23-year-old would be an exciting addition to either side in search of glory.
However, Boga looks as if he’s a man in demand and it wouldn’t be surprising to see a bidding war emerge which would push his price way above £35million.
