Everton have reportedly joined the pursuit for centre-forward Djaniny from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli Saudi FC.

According to A Bola, the Toffees are joined by Premier League duo West Ham and Wolverhampton Wanderers in showing an interest in him.

It is understood that West Ham have asked about the 28-year-old’s availability, while there is believed to be interest from teams in Mexico too.

Djaniny has scored an impressive 23 goals in 29 games this season, but he’s not playing in European football.

He did previously play in Portugal with Nacional, where he scored eight times in 30 matches.

TBR’s View:

Everton’s need for a prolific striker next season is no secret and they are still searching to find a real replacement for Romelu Lukaku at Goodison Park.

Djaniny is a striker that clearly knows where the net is and has been in great form this campaign, but it would be a colossal ask for him to repeat that in the Premier League.

The Merseyside club need to add someone with a proven track record in England and it’s likely to take a quality striker to fire them back into Europe.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a bright prospect that should continue to get first-team chances at the Toffees, but he needs more competition.
