According to Sky Sports, Everton are now interested in Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard, who is also said to be a target for Crystal Palace.
What’s the story?
Well, the Toffees seem to be eyeing a late swoop for the French striker.
Sky Sports are claiming that Rafa Benitez is also keen on a move for Brighton forward Neal Maupay.
Whether the Spaniard wants just one, or both, at Goodison Park is not mentioned.
Edouard – who earns £19,000-a-week at Celtic Park – looks likely to leave Glasgow and is said to be interested in moving to the Premier League (Eurosport).
The Bhoys are also in the process of signing his replacement already, as a deal for VVV-Venlo striker Giorgos Giakoumakis is close according to the Daily Record.
Impressively, Edouard scored 22 goals in all competitions last season.
Bad news for Everton as Odsonne Edouard likely to join Crystal Palace

According to the Express, the 23-year-old is likely to join Crystal Palace if a move away from Ange Postecoglou’s side does materialise in the coming days.
It is said that Brighton have baulked at his wage demands, while West Ham have walked away from a potential deal too.
You can see why Crystal Palace make sense for Edouard.
Saïd Aïgoun – Crystal Palace’s Development Coach – worked alongside the striker while the pair were at Paris Saint-Germain.

Of course, there is also the potential attraction of working under a French footballing icon in Patrick Vieira, Edouard’s fellow countryman.
Having said this, the transfer window this summer has been one of the most dramatic in recent times, so who knows what could happen.
Keep an eye on this saga, with just days until the transfer deadline ends.
