According to talkSPORT, Everton are now in talks with Bournemouth over a deal to sign Asmir Begovic, as the Toffees look to replace Robin Olsen.
What’s the story?
Well, yesterday, we covered news of Everton’s interest in the 34-year-old.
The story developed quickly, and Rafa Benitez’s side are now in talks with Scott Parker’s men over a deal for the former Stoke City glovesman.
TalkSPORT believe Everton are keen to strengthen their goalkeeping department, and Benitez views Begovic as the ideal man.
Bournemouth’s No.1 has one year remaining on his contract at the Vitality Stadium.
However, talkSPORT believe the Cherries could let him leave for free.
Good competition for Jordan Pickford

Olsen did well to challenge Jordan Pickford at Goodison Park last season.
However, Begovic should be able to offer more behind the scenes.
The 63-cap Bosnia-Herzegovina international has racked up 252 Premier League appearances.

In that respect, his experience behind the scenes could be extremely helpful to those at Goodison Park.
In our view – even more so if he’s free – Begovic would be a smart signing for Everton, after Olsen returned to José Mourinho’s Roma.
