Everton are reportedly one of four Premier League clubs that are keen on winger Vincenzo Grifo, who is impressing this season in the Bundesliga.

The 25-year-old spent the first half of the season with parent club Hoffenheim, before he was loaned out to Freiburg for the remainder of the campaign.

According to TEAMtalk, the Toffees are joined by Southampton, Watford and Bournemouth in the chase for him.

It is understood that Hoffenheim are set to offload the attacker in the summer and a switch to England is potentially on the cards.

Grifo has played nine times for Freiburg since he rejoined his former side on loan, scoring three goals and supplying four assists in return.

The one-time capped Italy international usually operates from the left flank and has an eye for goal.

TBR’s View:

Everton certainly need investment over the summer if they want to launch a push for the European position next season.

Marco Silva’s team may finally be beginning to find some momentum at the back end of the campaign and it seems like Bernard has all the potential to become a mainstay on the wing.

Brazilian left-winger Bernard has taken time adapting to the Premier League, but can light Goodison Park when on form.

Grifo is an interesting target that is now back in form following a loan move, but Everton should perhaps prioritise other positions.
