Everton have reportedly shown interest in Valencia goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen.
As reported by Spanish publication Marca, the Toffees made a proposal to sign the Dutch international, but came up well short against the player’s reported £32 million valuation.

Valencia have had to sell a host of players already this window in order to balance the books – and Cillessen, who is thought to be one of the club’s top earners, has also been tipped to depart.
Cillessen has been with Valencia since last summer after leaving Barcelona.
He’s made a total of 30 appearances for his current club so far.
Also expressing interest over Cillessen was Bayer Leverkusen.
TBR’s View – £32 million silly money for Cillessen
Everton are said to be far away from Valencia’s valuation but realistically that asking price is too high.

Cillessen is a quality stopper, but the star is 31 years of age and the current climate would not seen many teams willing to pay such an amount.
It remains to be seen if Valencia slash their asking price – if it comes to around half the current figure then it would be absolutely worth pursuing by Everton, who do need somebody to push Jordan Pickford.
Otherwise, the Toffees surely ought to look elsewhere.
