Sky Sports have claimed Everton have approached Unai Emery following the Spaniard’s sacking at Arsenal, with an ‘informal meeting’ held in London between The Toffees and Emery.
Everton sacked Marco Silva last week and are on the lookout for a new manager. Duncan Ferguson took over as interim manager on Saturday, masterminding a stunning 3-1 win over Chelsea at Goodison Park.
Vitor Pereira, Mauricio Pochettino, David Moyes, Ralf Rangnick, Carlo Ancelotti, Eddie Howe and Leonardo Jardim are all on Everton’s shortlist, as per the Daily Mail. Now, it is believed Emery could have been added to that list.
Arsenal are on a run of more than two months without a Premier League win, with Emery guilty of that run apart from the last two matches. He won 43 of his 78 games in charge – a 55.1% win rate – but Arsenal’s form this season saw him sacked.
It is believed that Emery sees his next job in England, Spain or Italy, and is keen to return to management sooner rather than later. However, he has requested more time to think about his next move, following the informal meeting in London.

TBR’s view – Could Everton be a good move for Emery?
Right now, Emery’s stock is low in the Premier League but Everton fans must remember that the Spaniard took Arsenal to the Europa League final last season and guided the Gunners to a 22-match unbeaten run last term.
Certainly, Emery has won the Europa League three times and the French league title. He has plenty of honours and is a top manager – and would certainly be a coup for Everton. He was earning £115,000 a week at Arsenal, as per The Mirror.
