Everton are lining up a swoop on Roma to sign goalkeeper Robin Olsen, according to The Mirror (Live Transfer Blog; 05/10; 18:02).
The Toffees are looking to add some badly needed competition for Jordan Pickford who has looked out of sorts for some months.
Everton have been linked with Paulo Gazzaniga and Sergio Romero already during transfer deadline.
Both Tottenham and Manchester United are wanting permanent deals, however, and Everton would rather loan a stopper.

The Toffees have high hopes for Joao Virginia who recently signed a new contract with the club, although he perhaps isn’t quite ready for Premier League action just yet.
Everton wouldn’t object to a deal including an option to buy at the end of the loan. They have baulked at the fees demanded for Gazzaniga and Romero this summer so far, however.
Olsen was on the bench for Roma on Saturday as they beat Udinese 1-0, although he didn’t make the squad for the first two games of the campaign.
The 37-time Sweden international has plenty of experience playing in Europe following spells with Copenhagen, Malmo, Cagliari and Roma.
He has made 35 appearances for his current club but has been viewed as a backup option as opposed to regularly forcing his way into the team.
Competition
At 30 Olsen is a nice age to deputise for Pickford if called upon and he’d probably placed the required pressure on the England number one.

The former Sunderland man came under scrutiny once again on Saturday as a dropped catch allowed Brighton to score.
Question marks have been raised over his England place and Pickford will likely welcome proper competition for his place.
Everton have won all four of their Premier League games so far during 2020/21.
