Everton are reportedly set to join the race for Crystal Palace attacker Wilfried Zaha.
According to the Evening Standard, the Toffees are in the running now alongside frontrunners Arsenal for the 26-year-old.
It is understood that Palace value him at around £80million and he’s currently on a £130,000-a-week deal at Selhurst Park with still four years left on that contract.
The report explains that Ademola Lookman is set to exit Everton for around £22.5million and the Merseyside club would be prepared to reinvest those funds in a new wide option.
It’s believed the Toffees have identified Zaha as a target and are prepared to spend big on marquee signings, but the player does have ambitions of playing in the Champions League.
Zaha is an ambitious target for Everton and it seems unlikely they will land him considering his mammoth £80million valuation.
But it makes sense for Marco Silva’s side to search for a replacement for Lookman, who is expected to complete his move away to the Bundesliga.
Zaha is a winger with rapid pace that has proven himself as a force in the Premier League in recent years and looks ready for a step up.
He was directly involved in 20 league goals last season for Palace and has the ability to breeze past defenders one-on-one.
Everton have plenty of firepower on the flanks with the likes of Bernard and Richarlison, but Zaha would be a statement addition if the club pull a rabbit out the hat.
