Everton have reportedly started discussions with French club Lille about their defender Gabriel Magalhaes.
According to the Independent, the Toffees are holding talks to try secure a deal for the 22-year-old Brazilian star.
It is understood that the Merseyside club previously registered an interest in the centre-back during January and are now one of the teams from the Premier League still keen on signing him.
The report explains that Lille could let their South American star exit at the end of the season and that he will be available for between £25-30million.
Meanwhile, the report adds that Everton are prepared to seriously support technical director Marcel Brands and manager Carlo Ancelotti when it comes to the summer’s transfer spending.

TBR’s View:
Gabriel looks like a rising talent that could fit in with the tenacity of Premier League football and to pick up potentially for as cheap as £25million looks like a small gamble worth taking.
The young defender could help compete alongside Mason Holgate, Yerry Mina and Michael Keane if he ended up at Goodison Park.
He is a powerhouse centre-back with great pace and power, which has seen him become an important player for a Lille team sat fourth in Ligue 1.
The Brazilian has experience of Champions League football already under his belt and is a left-footed defender that could add real balance at Goodison Park.
