Everton have reportedly made contact with Adrien Rabiot’s mother regarding her son’s availability.
According to Foot Mercato, Carlo Ancelotti is prioritising a central defender in January, but French playmaker Rabiot is on the agenda.

The 24-year-old has made just 12 appearances following his free transfer to the club in the summer, with competition for places in midfield particularly fierce.
Apparently Everton are looking to capitalise on the player’s lack of regular minutes, and have had contact with Rabiot’s mother Veronique, who acts as his agent.
The Everton link is perhaps unsurprising given Ancelotti was the man who promoted Rabiot to the Paris Saint-Germain first-team back in 2012, branding him ‘very skilful’ at the time (Le10 Sport).
TBR’s view – A brilliant Everton signing
A deal is surely unlikely given Juve only acquired him before the current season.

But the Ancelotti factor means a move isn’t totally impossible, and him pitching up at Goodison Park would be a big coup.
Rabiot would be a superb replacement for Andre Gomes, who is looking at missing the rest of the season through injury.
The six-cap international is technically gifted and could complement a steely ball-winner in the engine room.
