According to Turkish outlet Fotomac, Everton and West Ham could land Cyle Larin from Besiktas for a bargain fee this summer.
Both the Hammers and the Toffees are said to be keen on signing Larin this summer. The Canadian speedster has been in fine form over in Turkey, rattling in 19 goals this season in a hugely impressive campaign.
Larin has also been prolific for Canada thus far. He’s got 33 caps and has an impressive 12 goals to his name at international level.
But Fotomac claim that despite his form and reputation building, Besiktas will still accept an offer of less than £9m for the forward. That news, of course, will interest both Everton and West Ham ahead of the summer window.
Both teams are looking for attacking firepower in their squads. Carlo Ancelotti wants back up and competition for Dom Calvert-Lewin, while David Moyes never quite replaced Sebastien Haller.
Larin, then, could well prove a bargain buy and spark quite the scramble over the summer.
TBR View: Larin a snip in the modern market, Everton should move
Everton are desperate for a proper striker to help out at the top of the pitch and Larin, at around £8m, would be ideal.
His season this year has been excellent and there is so much more in the locker you feel. Pace, power, and that striker’s instinct that so many can’t grasp, he really does look ready-made for the PL.
Everton simply have to move here if they can. West Ham will want him too, but the Toffees could well sell their vision with the new stadium and Ancelotti at the helm to try and beat the Hammers.
