Everton are reportedly interested in signing talented young German midfielder Erkan Eyibil.
Fotomac claim the Toffees are ready to battle it out with Turkish giants Fenerbahce to land the 18-year-old, who plays his football with Mainz 05.
Eyibil is yet to make his first-team debut for the club, but is considered one of their best prospects.

The starlet has already represented Germany U15s through to the U18s and is set for a bright future.
The left-footer has been tracked by Fenerbahce for some time, and the club could make a move after cashing in on Eljif Elmas to Napoli for €16 million/£14.6 million.
Everton are hoping to potentially sign Eyibil in a cut-price deal, with the youngster’s contract set to expire next summer.
TBR’s view
Eyibil has a huge ceiling and has already been likened to Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil by the Turkish media.
The attacking midfielder hit 17 goals for the club’s U19s last term and stands a great chance of playing in the first-team next term after a good pre-season.

With Everton also said to be chasing Mainz’s Jean-Philippe Gbamin (Sky Sports), perhaps they won’t take too kindly to a pursuit of their best young asset from the Premier League club.
The Toffees’ reported interest is no surprise though given director of football Marcel Brands’ preference to sign young players with high potential.
