Everton are reportedly in a battle to try sign young prospect Joshua Zirkzee from Bundesliga and Champions League club Bayern Munich.

According to Sky Germany, Everton and Parma have both made offers to try sign the 19-year-old.

It is explained that both are aiming to take the teenager on loan until the end of the season, with the option or obligation to sign him in the summer for over €10million (8.9million).

The report states that the youngster is expected to move this month and would be open to joining Everton or Parma, but Bayern are yet to accept either offer and a decision is expected in the next few days.

Zirkzee is a highly-rated talent to develop in the Bayern academy in recent years and is a striker now being tipped for a January move.

The Dutch centre-forward has had a taste of first-team action this season, making five senior appearances and that included a Champions League cameo against Atletico Madrid.

TBR’s View:

Prolific at youth level, Zirkzee is an upcoming talent that looks to be heading on his way out of the Allianz Arena.

Everton already have a talisman in attack with English striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, so bringing in a young rising star to act as his understudy looks a smart move.

Carlo Ancelotti’s squad could definitely do with an extra forward and taking a punt on the Bayern prospect is a gamble worth taking.
