90Min report that Everton, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are three of five Premier League clubs interested in luring Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier back to the Premier League in January.
Trippier, 31, is still regarded as a crucial part of Gareth Southgate’s England side – after shining at Euro 2020. Just before that, he played a pivotal part in helping Atletico Madrid win La Liga.
But the ex-Burnley, Manchester City and Tottenham has spoken honestly and openly about his desire to return to the Premier League. Newcastle are front runners, with 90Min reporting they will pay £150,000 a week.
Trippier was rated at £50million by Atletico in the summer – and despite being about to enter the last 18 months of his Atletico deal, he could still cost that figure. Manchester United are still interested.
Now, Everton, Aston Villa and Palace have thrown their hat into the ring over a potential move for Trippier. It will be interesting to see his asking price now, but he has five Premier League clubs on his tail.

Everton, Villa, Newcastle, Palace or United: Which is best for Trippier?
Or simply, stay at Atletico until the summer? He remains a crucial part of Diego Simeone’s side, but more bit-part of late – starting 12 of his 15 games and completing 90 minutes just six times.
Manchester United have Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diego Dalot. Trippier is an improvement, but one would have to be sold first. Matty Cash is flying for Villa and signing Trippier would stunt his growth.
Palace could do with Trippier, but the chances of Palace spending big on a right-back is unlikely. Newcastle have the cash and need a right-back – but could they convince Trippier into a relegation dog fight?
Everton might be his best bet. A side that should be pushing for the Europa League, they need a right-back. Whether Financial Fairplay will allow them to afford Trippier, remains to be seen.
