Report: Everton and Wolves want Rafael Leao
Everton and Wolves have apparently been warned that Rafael Leao will cost between £30.2 million and £34.5 million, with Calciomercato suggesting that the Premier League sides want the AC Milan starlet.
The 21-year-old has shown plenty of potential this season. He has scored six goals and contributed six assists in Serie A this term.
Nevertheless, it appears that he could be on the move. Calciomercato reports that the Rossoneri want to make a marquee striker signing this summer.
And while Leao is not necessarily up for sale, Milan will apparently listen to substantial offers that come in for him in the upcoming window.
Calciomercato suggests that Everton and Wolves are both interested. However, they have been warned that he will cost up to €40 million.
TBR View: Everton and Wolves may be wary of breaking bank for Leao
Much may depend on how much Carlo Ancelotti and Nuno Espirito Santo are given to spend this summer. But it would be no surprise to see either boss target a new forward over the coming months.
Having said that, it would surely be a surprise if either was prepared to meet Milan’s asking price for Leao.
Both clubs have young forwards on their books, with Moise Kean still an Everton player and Fabio Silva showing some promise in his first year at Molineux.
It surely makes more sense therefore, for both to target a more proven goalscorer this summer.
