Turkish outlet Takvim claim West Ham and Everton are rivalling two German Bundesliga clubs for the signature of Shinji Kagawa, who is currently impressing in Turkey.
The 30-year-old is currently considered surplus to requirements at parent club Borussia Dortmund. The likes of Jadon Sancho, Marco Reus and Mario Gotze are keeping the 97-time Japan international out of the picture.
It saw the former Manchester United ace move to Besiktas on loan in January until the end of the season. Kagawa has scored three goals and created another strike in his first six appearances for the Turkish SuperLig side.
But his long-term future remains up in the air. The latest report claims Everton and West Ham both want Kagawa, who scored six goals and created 10 more in 57 Manchester United appearances.

The Toffees and The Hammers are not alone in their interest for Kagawa, as per the report. It claims that German sides Schalke 04 and Bayer Leverkusen are interested in luring Kagawa back to Germany.
TBR’s view
Kagawa’s creativity and leadership are two very impressive traits that would certainly add to a mid-table Premier League side such as Everton and West Ham. The calibre of the player would also excite fans.
At £10.7million though – according to the report – Everton and West Ham would be paying a considerable fee for a player that has just turned 30. He has certainly lost a yard of pace.
It remains to be seen what Kagawa would want in wages. But a two-year deal for either club would not go amiss.
